Jenny & Don Murray (Rosie May’s God Parents) have been working hard to establish the Australian branch of the Rosie May Memorial Fund.
We hope this will make Donating and Child Sponsorship Easier and make sure every Australian Dollar reaches the project rather than be eroded by individual transaction and currency charges.

2011 Rosie May Fun Run

May 26th, 2011 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

The 5th annual Rosie May Fun Run/Walk was a great success, with perfect weather turned on for all who attended and competed at the Sherwood Arboretum.
The day combined with a celebration of Rosie May’s 18th Birthday and another ‘Bev Cake’ was enjoyed by everyone.
Although funds are still rolling in, the total will run close to $4,000, all of which will go toward the running expenses of the Rosie May Children’s Home in Boosa, Sri Lanka.
Our thanks to you all for your ongoing, valued support.

What a great day was had by all. We would like to thank everyone involved for your continued support of this wonderful charity. This project has turned the most tragic event of everybody’s lives that knew Rosie May, into a heart warming and positive home for these 20 little girls. The dedication, love and time that Mary, Graham, Luke and Laurence have put into the Rosie May Home is outstanding.

Many thanks to Leonie, Wendy, Kelly, Rachele and Karen whose cooking skills allowed us to have some very yummy treats on the afternoon. A big thanks to Brett, who put together all the video and audio presentation. We could not have done this without everybody’s help.

Mary and Graham were overwhelmed as we were by the support, so thanks again for making the Rosie May High Tea a memorable afternoon.

Regards,

Jenny and Don Murray

2007 Fund Raising Day

June 26th, 2007 | Posted by admin in Uncategorized - (0 Comments)

The 2007 Fund Raising Day fundraiser was based on people either walking,
jogging, cycling or taking the RiverCat (water bus) from the regatta hotel to the
Brisbane Botanical Gardens. At the Gardens, we had set up in a shelter where we
had some raffles, giveaways and a cake. Jen’s Mum, Shirley, painted a watercolour
which was raffled off (you can see it on the prize table).

Some traveled on rollerblades, one lad traveled on a unicycle and Nicks mate, Ben,
even painted Rosie-May’s signature onto his t-shirt. Bev baked a cake (as always)
with the main building structure completed and the adjoining section only with walls
(as the building was when we were there).
